Default Newbie to the Truck world!

Hey guys, name is Jeremy and I am modding my first truck. Wanted a Lightning but could not pass on the little blue Chevy i bought. Im not new to LS series engines since i have owned a 2 F-bodies with LS1's and both have been in the 10's. So i hope to apply my years of F-body Head/cam/intake combos and other LS knowledge to my truck. Now i have sold the 2001 Trans-AM and want to start on my new RCSB 03 Silverado. Hope to chat and learn alot from you guys.

New Ride: 2003 RCSB Arrival blue fleetside silverado with a 4.8

Mods so Far: Leveled rear, AirRaid CAI, Gibson Super Truck side exhaust
4.10's with locker, Color matched Bumpers and trim.

Upcoming Mods: 5.3 swap(have one with 8k miles at home) milled 241's
i have lying around with LS6 springs, Vinci 045 cam, and
maybe a stall, LT's and ORY

Yeah the plan was originally a 6.0 and eventually it will be...seem to have a
set of 408 pistons and crank lyin around still from an old build. But for now money is kind of an issue and the 4.8 is kinda higher mileage. So, since i can put the 5.3 together for dirt cheap it and seems like you guys are haulin with 5.3's i think ill try it till i can go more later when i get her paid off.

Cam/heads and bolt-ons should get you moving real fast!
Do you have plans for the transmission?

Lol...Not till it breaks i guess. Ill keep my fingers crossed. I know for sure im going to get a deep pan, and a cooler. Just in case i do decide to put in a small stall. I went 10.70's for a year on a BONE STOCK internal 4L60e so maybe ill be lucky again.
