Howdy y'all
This forum is awesome! It has answered quesitons I had (but didn't know it). Anyway, I have a 00 GMC RCSB 4.8L 4X4 and was looking at doing a little more modding (mainly engine).
MODS so far:
Hypertech III programmer
FlowMaster 70 series (single in/dual out) exhaust
Ford Keys (leveled it off great)
285/75/16 Pro Comp X-Terrains
Brush Guard and Bars
Pro Comp 3000 ES shocks
Pro Comp Intake Kit w/ K&N (pulled screen from MAF too)
I wanted to do a little more to the engine but really don't know where to begin. I'm still paying for school so the mods can't break my bank. I see there are many people on this thread who have done tons of mods and was wondering what all of you thought.
Thanks,
GatorFan

Thanks fellas,
I knew I was in San Antonio for a reason! Just a quick question... How much did you guys pay for Nelson to wake your trucks up? I also read on their site that you had to get a handheld to do some "relearning" if you had any probs once you get your new PCM. Will Nelson take care of this since I am in town or will I need to go buy one of these hadhelds. I do have an ODBII code reader at the house already.
Thanks again for the help. More to come on my truck...

Hey TX,
Where did you get your guages. They look great. I wanted to add the Trans temp guage to my instrument cluster. Also, those pace setter long tubes are what I have been looking for too. Does Pace Setter make those long tubes for my 4.8L w/EGR for my 4X4?

his website says it will be $375 for your year model. no need for a crank relearn since he will be doing a live tune for you...
the guages in my truck came from a 00-02 escelade. it plugs and bolts right up with no extra work needed.
yeah they make that header for you. hop on aim and message BYUNSPEED. hes almost always on and can get it there cheap and fast.

Pull the hypertech and sell it
dump the flowmaster and get a good muffler
I noticed a huge gain from electric fans, and I'd get Nelson to tune it. I have a wait4me mail order tune cause it was cheap, but being right by Nelson, Id get him to do it. My truck used to be similar to yours, but now its way different. Im looking forward to getting my Pacesetters, they just came out with LT that fit the 4wd's finally. BTW if you get Nelson to tune it, you can delete the EGR.
