Newb here, the crowd drew me in....

Hey all,
I've visited this site and LS1Tech too many times in the past and never joined, but recently I started doing a lot of research on LS based motors (specifically GenIII's and LM7's) and this site seemed to have almost every answer I needed.
So, because of the technical nature of this forums posters/members I decided to become an active member; yay!
I am an active member at GMInsideNews, and for a general car brand forum they are technical in discussion more so than most (like TN
). Anywho, this site demolishes GMI in the tech data relm, so here I am.
Looking forward to learning from everyone here and helping where I can.

Thanks man.
So here's a little more about my little rig.
2001 Suburban LS 4X4 (yeah, I lowered a 4X4)
Suspension
-3/5 drop on 22" Panther Vector's MB512's wrapped in 305/40R22's.
-Poly-whatever-it's-called sway bar bushings.
Engine (LM7)
-Throttle Body Bore (Wow what a difference this makes!)
-Throttle Body Coolant By-pass
-EGR Valve Pipe Mod'd (cut)
-MagnaFlow Muffler: single 3-1/2" in dual 2-1/4" out through Dual 4"tips coming straight out the back
-Dual 16" Cooling fans on a stand alone controller. (3mpg highway increase
)
-Cheap CAI system off ebay
-Mail order tuned
Trans (4L60e)
-Mail order tuned.
Exterior
-New all chrome grill (plastic)
Stereo
-Kenwood Pop-out touch screen DVD/Nav head unit
-4 Kicker 6" Components with 1" Tweets and crossovers
-2 Kicker 12" L5's in custom enclosure
-4 Channel Memphis Amp 100W RMS per channel @4 ohms (running 2 ohms right now)
-Mono Memphis Sub Amp 1000W RMS @4 ohms (running 1 ohm right now)
-Kinetik Battery (capacitor replacement = something like 700 Farad)
That about sums up the Urban; I name her Betsy.
Future mods:
Engine rebuild plus cam, and blower.
Trans replacement. Hoping for a 6L80e, but might have to settle for a 4L80e.
New suspension, bagged all the way around and Eibach sways, with proper drop Spindles.
New paint, two tone.
New interior, also two toned.
I'll be starting a thread soon, probably on LS1 tech about the soon-to-be current project I have for Betsy. The engine is leaking (I think from the rear main seal) so a great excuse to rebuild soon. So I am compiling a list of parts to mod her up. Might as well right? My budget is roughly the price of a new crate LM7 and I want to get pretty close to 440hp N/A but FI ready. 440 might be unreasonable with the $4K budget limit, but 380 would do fine. The Supercharger will push it over 500hp either way.
The plan is rebuild engine, without blower, and new brakes all the way around. Then Trans mod a few months later, followed by spindle drop and suspension work a few months after that. Then I'll throw the blower on about a year from now, and finish her off with body work, paint and a custom suede and leather interior.
I'm open to suggestions...
