Default New to site and NEED HELP

Ok.I have a 4.8L in my 99 silverado.im not sure if i want to do a LS1 swap or build up the motor i have now.i have a guy that will sell me his cam, springs, pushrods, rockers, timing chain, oil pump and crank out of a 02 ZO6 for a good price.Should i go with his parts?and what kinda horsepower increase u think i would get?or should i stick with swapping for a ls1 and go from there?PLS LET ME KNOW

No replacement for displacement. If you really want to go faster dump the 4.8 for something bigger.

IMO i think you should go for the 6.0 unless you are getting a good deal on the ls1

i went from 4.8 to LS1 (mods in sig). soon as i get my knock sensor fixed my truck should be runnin mid 13s quite easily... keep in mind thats wit basically no supporting mods

so i say go LS1 and dont look back

6.0 maybe cheaper than an ls1.
