Default New to the site!

i have an 01 half ton chevy with a 4.8l. I have minor mods which consist of a ground force lowering kit 2/4, cold air intake (k&n), and flex a lite electric fans. I am planning on building up a 5.3l to a 383. I was told to check on this site from Racing southwest for help pertaining to stroker kits and cams... I browsed around a bit and already found helpful info!!!! If anyone can give me ideas on what kind of stroker kit is best it would be very much appreciated! as well as a good cam. Im looking for 600 to 700hp. with forced induction.

Thanks,
Cade

TO get to 6-700 rwhp you're going to need a lot more than just a 383 stroker. You're going to need a bigass shot of nitrous or a turbo or supercharger setup running some decent boost.

It sounds sweet though. I hope you actually pull the trigger on doing it.

welcome. I used to work with a guy with a 383 Nova. Those motors are pretty decent on power, not 600, but they'll scoot

He's not talking about a genI/II 383 stroker. He's talking about a stroked 5.7L genIII engine which is "technically" a 382 ci motor. I believe hemi killer is running that setup.
