Hey guys,
My name is Gaje, currently residing in Woodstock, Ga. I have an 09 Silverado 1500, lifted with an ls3 swap. You can check out my Instagram ( blueflamefiend ) if you happen to want to looks at the progress so far. MUCH MUCH more to do, and too many other manufacturer forums have people who know alot about my truck, but not much about slapping an ls3 in one and building it to put out, hopefully, 850 whp over the next few years. I look forward to some discussions, debates, insights, and advice.

Hi. Welcome to the forum. Not my cup of tea but nice truck nonetheless but that LS3 swap does help a bit haha.

Lol thanks. The 5.3 that came in it exploded at 78k from AFM. Wasnt covered under warranty because the truck was over 5 years old at that point, and I found this ls3 for a steal from a buddy. Already detonated the factory rear end and snapped an axle. So, now it's got a 9.5" 14 bolt disc swapped from a vortec max. Have to build the trans before I can do anything else though. I'm at 412whp right now and the stock 6l80e isnt too happy about it lolOriginally Posted by 400_SS

I like it!!! CircleD can build the 6l80e. Personally, I would keep the 6spd cause a 80e swap would cause your gas mileage to bottom out even more.

Well howdy neighbor! I've been looking at their products. Definately keeping the 6 speed. The only issue I've run into is that I cant find a build kit that will hold up to what I need at the flywheel to make 850 at the ground. As of right now I'm lifted 7.5 inches, 4x4, with 20x12s and 35s. After I do my bedsides and fenders, along with a cantilever kit in the rear, I'll be on 37s and running, probably 4.10s or so with lockers. The 6 speed doesnt need as much gear as the 4 speeds thank God, so highway drivability will still be a thing. But either way, drivetrain power loss will be pretty high, so I'm guessing I'll need to be making 1000+ at the flywheel in order to land 850. Add in the weight of the truck, and I'm thinking I'll want the trans to be built to handle 1200. Do they offer something like that. Best I've found doing some limited searching is for 1000.
