Pro touring stuff is just so boner inducing.


@CarbonRanger Getting the trans temp sensor to work on the stock gauge cluster is stupid easy. Pull the pan and weld in a bung for a coolant temp sensor (pretty sure that is what it is I have it on a thread here somewhere), they send the same electrical signal as a trans temp, and just wire it into the temperature wire for the 4L60 harness. Presto trans temp works.

I did basically the same thing as shakenfake, used an ECT sensor installed in a bung on the pto port of my manual trans. Works great.

@shakenfake @dantheman1540 Sweet I figured that was possible, I don't think the 6l80e has a test port or anything I can tap easily so I will have to drop the pan like Shakenfake said. I'm pretty sure the reverse lights are also an easy fix, just need to mount the 4l60e neutral safety switch to the 6l80e shaft. I am just out of town for work currently, when I get back maybe I'll make a new thread or something.
