New owner of a 2016 Ram Power Wagon. Just had installed a MBRP stainless, cat-back exhaust system along with the K&N cold air intake. Looks great and sounds awesome outside of the truck; however, when you get in the 40 to 45 MPH area, especially going uphill, the drone is horrible. Now what to do about it?

Does anyone else have experience with the same situation and will an MBRP resonator help with the drone problem?

Great protection underneath!

Cool truck.

I dont know how involved you want to get here to solve the issue but there are a few answers. Where does the exhaust exit? Yes a resonator will help. Anything that quiets down the exhaust will help. Another option is a helmholtz resonator tube welded into the exhaust. If you search on here you will find a fair amount of info on them.

The exhaust exits to the side of the rear wheels. If you look at the MBRP website, the truck they feature is the exact same truck as mine including the color. Thanks for the information on the resonator and I'll do some research. I took a friend for a ride and she agrees about the bad drone on back roads between 40 to 50 mph. I hope the resonator does the trick. Thanks again!
