New guy from NC......
im Jamie and im from the big ol NC!!! been lookin around for a bit and decided to join up and check in on things. there are lots of badass rides and sum very nice projects going on with this place and i look forward to seeing more of these builds and learn things for myself aswell......
my daily ride is an 03' chevy 1500HD crew cab shortbed with nuthin more than 285 bfg mud terrains, k&n air system, true duals with 10 series outlaw flowmasters, cowl hood, tinted windows including windshield, flipout dvd touchscreen stereo and it sux gas!! haha
my toy is a 90' 454SS chevy truck that ive had for 8 years now. it was stock as a rock when i got it but have changed it a lilbit through the years to make it more enjoyable. in stock form it was a boat anchor when it come to performance and on slicks would run a promising 9.45 every pass in the 1/8th with duals, no breather and givin it everything it had....lol such a brick!! thats changed as i got tired of being the slow truck at every track and what an embarrasment it was having a big block truck that wouldnt get out of its own way!!
as it sits now it has.....
-.030 461 all forged bottom end
-comp cam
-ati balancer
-b&m flexplate
-hedman longtubes with full 3" exhaust, and 2 chamber flowmasters
-aluminum heads with 225/188 valves, 1.7 roller rockers, screw in studs and guide plates
-victor jr 454R intake
-holley 750 dual line double pump carb
-aeromotive fpr
-holley black pump with aluminum line to regulator
-16 gallon fuel cell in bed with sender unit
-3.73 rear with stock 14 bolt unit
-th350 trans with JW ultra bel, b&m deep pan, manual valvebody
-Greg Slack torque converter
-home built adjustable traction control bars under the rear
-lowered 3" front and 4.75" rear
-tinted windows
-aftermarket cd stereo system
-4" steel cowl hood
i drive it around and to cruise ins and such on cooper cobra 275-60-15's on stock wheels and if i take it to the track i throw the drag radials on it so it keeps the same tire size.....
my best time with it so far in the 1/8th is a 7.64 at 91mph. the truck still has air conditioning, power steering and all.......it weighs in at 4370 with me in it and a full tank of gas!! i think with a lil dyno tuning and sum timing/fuel changes it may could get a lil faster but that all may come soon. i work so much that i dont have alot of time to enjoy it.....
thanks for reading my long intro and i hope my ride is worthy of a performance trucks victim!!
