HAHA after the Lightning i doubt she could ever hate me... LOL Motor came out of that truck 3 times, 2 trannys... and lots of hours and dollars...

LOL this is her truck... so i dont get to do much to it... well except for little stuff like exhaust, CAI, LT headers, Tune, and Suspension...

For NOW...

My buddy renders cars and is going to try and hook me up with some renderings so i can work on trying to get a deal with some vendors on parts... if i can the truck will go to SEMI as a tow vehicle for my buddy's Mustang or M3...

As far as the LS motor comment, i meant something meaner than a truck LS... LOL something upwards of 400 HP NA with a CR for a Roots Blower

You'll be surprised what these lil 5.3 have for potential. Do some lookin around here and see what some of these guys are getting out of their 5.3s.

 

yeah i am seeing some awesome numbers...

im hoping to get some more TQ out of the 5.3L for towing... eventually will need to tow a trailer (quads, seadoos, race cars etc)...

Dont need it to be the fastest on the block, but it would be sweet to shut up some cocky stock mustang drivers... LOL

 

Get you a 'lil torquey cam, 2600-3000 converter, LTs and exhaust. With that and a nice tune it'll feel a bit better.

 

I like the TSP Head and Cam kit... but might just go with a Magnacharger instead...

How does the TQ Converter affect MPG?

I had a 2800 Stall in my Lightning and i actually got better freeway mileage, but my city mileage dropped like 1-3 MPG...

Oh and as far as Exhaust and headers... i like the Corsa Sport Exhaust, and for headers im torn... Dynatechs are oh soooo nice and fit perfect AND include Cats!!!!... but $$$$$$

Also... Who tunes these truck locally? I dont know of any programmers from SCT, and i only know of a few Diablo Dyno Tuners in the area...
