Default New guy and his friend

Hey guys, I know I've posted here a while ago, but I still haven't gotten my truck, so technically I can call myself new still. My dad just made a deal with me on how I can get his truck, so I should have it this spring . It is a silver 2000 ECSB Silverado Z71 with the 5.3.

I have two questions now though. I have a fairly new friend who also has a truck, and I'm wondering a couple things about them compared to each other...

First is, what are the real hp/tq numbers for these trucks, if you know? I know they don't rate them accurately sometimes (like my TA), so I'm wondering how they really are. From the factory is says 285/325 for mine and 240/340 for his...

Second thing, and more improtantly, is which is faster . The truck that I will be getting is the truck that I just put up above, and it has 90k on it and is stock still. His truck is a '94 Lightning that has a couple things done to it. I asked him how many miles it has again and what will all be done by the time he gets it up here and this is what he said. It has almost 140,000 on it, 4.10 gears (stock, right? and mine has 3.73s), Smog delete, Underdrive pullies, K&N, MSD Coil, MSD Cap & Rotor, MSD wires, NGK TR5 plugs, Valve body, Bassani Catless X-Pipe and the Flowmasters (on stock manifolds/headers)... What do you think? Supposedly mine has more hp stock, his has more tq, and they weigh almost the same, so I'm not sure. Let me know what you think. I'm excited to get this truck finally .

i dunno about the old 1994s but i know any lightning with just the pulleys on it go pretty damn good and def will beat a regular 5.3L... Iam wondering the same thing with the old lightnings.. Might have to do a little research

Well, they aren't anything like the new ones, so I'm curious too. He seems to think that he'll blow me away. I'm not so sure. Just pure numbers wouldn't suggest that to me. Same weight and I have 45 more hp stock and 50k miles less. He will have the stuff listed up there though that will help him too. I'm just curious. I'll find out eventually, but I would like to know if his talk has any truth. He makes it seem like just because it's called a "lightning" it's going to be really fast, but as far as I can tell it doesn't have any tricks up it's sleeve, and the numbers don't suggest to me that I'll lose as bad as he thinks, but I would like to know if I'm really wrong or not.
