I have a 07 new body with a 5.3 which goes from 8 to 4. and was wondering what i can do to it to beat the ford lightnings. it needs more power. and it has a 373 gear in it to. so any help on makeing this darn truck faster and more hp and tq i will be great full. thank you 4 ur time.

were can i go to get all that done for a good price and someone told me i could put heads and cam in it and make 400hp.

 

but that does seem like alot of stuff just to beat a L. i should trade this truck and go back to a L.

 

Lightnings are made for performance, those trucks are supposed to be fast, you went adn bought a truck that is supposed to drive you to and from work so you gonna have to dump some money into it to get it to run wit a truck thats supposed to be on the drag strip

4.10's, headers, 3000 stall, tune, drag radials, 150 shot of nitrous is gonna be a good bit of work, id say your lookin at about $2000-$2500 just in the parts and the tune. then id have to say your gonna spend about another ATLEAST $1500 to have it all installed if your not doing it yourself.

 

Its still a Ford and you have a GM....you have the ability to make that truck as fast as you want without paying the premium for a name....All a lightning is is a Supercharged F150 RCSB...Just make a Turbo Charged Silverado 1500

 

whats a lightning cost and what does your truck cost with the mods your going to do to it to beet a lightning

 

come on now 17k or 40k if you dump 20k on a chevy you'll smoke anything just about.
