A friend of mine on here suggested I sign up here and check this place out. Just wanted to drop in and say hello and post a few pics and hopefully learn a few things from everyone here.

I own a 2011 GMC Sierra with the 6.2L and 3.73 gears. Only mods to date are a drop in K&N air filter, performance muffler and a custom tune done my Roger's Autocare near where I live (aklowriderz71) here on the forum.

I was out with Roger at the track last night and was running pretty consistent 14.1's... and I know the truck has 13's in it so time to start spending some more money

Will upload some pics and videos from last night races once I get them off the camera and uploaded to Youtube. I was doing 4WD launches last night and switching to 2WD after it shifted out of first gear and noticed I was a lot more consistent.

Thanks. I am torn if I want to keep the truck fairly stock looking on the outside and go for a some what sleeper look or do like I normally do and get the rims and tires and start color matching trim etc...

I kind of like the look on peoples face when what looks like a 4 door work truck breaks the tires loose and pulls away from them.

Sharp looking truck you have and it performs great. Your mods and times gives me hope because I have the same exact truck (silver) except it's 2wd. I'm planing to do the airaid drop in filter with intake tube, big case magnaflow, and a tune. Hopefully that can take me to 13's without really getting deep into mods. Did your truck come from the factory with the painted handles and mirror caps?

Your truck should do great! My first few track days I was launching in 2WD and had horrible time getting traction so that's something you battling for sure. I did a few passes where I was half throttle out of the hole and it was still spinning through 1st and 2nd and chirping them in 3rd

What gears do you have? Will you be running stock tires??

And yes mirrors and handles came painted factory. It's an SLT package so was pretty close to fully loaded, not sure if that makes a difference. Only thing I miss from my old truck that this one does not have is the sunroof.

Good deal and thanks for the info. I'm running 3.73's and the stock 265/70/17 a/t's that came with the truck. I have around 400 miles on it so far and I just filled up on it's 2nd tank of gas. I'm going to wait till it gets cooler and run it at the track while it's bone stock before doing the mods.

Your truck is a beast man. It will only get faster. Your next mod should be a Yank.
