Hey everyone, I am a new guy and I am from the San Antonio area. I currently own a 2000 Chevy 2500 with the 6.0. It is tuned by Nelson Performance and as a couple other small mods, but I have big plans for it. Joined to find some more info and advice! Thanks

As for future mods let me tell you goals first I'm thinking I want in the neighborhood of 550-600 rwhp. The biggest problem is deciding if I want to go with a turbo or a supercharger. The truck would be a weekend toy/ occasional daily driver, but I also want something that is dependable. Another question: My truck is the 6.0 lq4 with iron heads. Can I switch the heads off of a newer 6.0 lq4 with aluminum heads? Thanks

 

Yes on the heads. Both supercharger and turbo will make the power goal. But the right turbo will have a lot more power in reserve. You need to drive both to know the feel of both.

 

I have driven a supercharged chevy truck and love the immediate power. I guess I just need to decide what will be better for my use. Thanks for the response!
