Welcome to the site & Nice Ty

I kinda miss my Typhoon. I had a 1992 Red/Charcoal (#1548) that I sold in 2001 (funny - I called mine the Bafoon, too). Mine was completely stock in excellent condition & went 13.7 in the 1/4. Low 12s aren't tough with them.

Holy he'll it's been five years since I joined and have ten posts!?

Some of you may know me from some recent Facebook shenanigans that were write entertaining so I figured I'd swing back through and update.

Plans changed and so has the truck collection. The ty is still in my stable but the old s - dime was totalled by thieves.

Now I've got a 97 prerunnered out 4 door tahoe as a DD and the ty just sits for now.

Thanks for having me back, it's late and I'm going to crash harder than princess Diana right now but I'll update with photos and my build threads in the AM.

Been a while since ive posted so here goes.

The ty is still running but shes been moded a bit. She came with head work and a cam. I've had the upper and lower intakes port matched when i cracked the lower intake manifold like a moron (12 inch pounds isnt the same as 12 foot pounds). Since then i've added a walbro 255 in tank (stocker ate a rock somehow, people seriously need to stop ******* with my vehicles) added a totally new, very large intercooler system, 32x8x4 lower CCHE front mounted

, bosch cobalt SS high flow intercooler pump, all new rubber IC lines ran through the fender to keep temps down. The upper IC is an Ebay unit, but has been on a truck thats gone 10.2x so its adequate. Upper has yet to be installed, a car accident two years ago keeps me from doing my own work. Ill shop out the Tahoe swap but i only trust myself and two others to touch the Ty.
Also yet to go on are all new poly control arm bushings (stockers are super shot, arms have a back and forth wiggle) Poly motor and trans mounts, and a Devils Own stage 3 progressive meth injection kit.

I just got a new SM-AFR box for my PLX DM100 WBo2 since the old one **** the bed. Made a custom boost tap off the brake booster vacuum line for more accurate boost readings, Deleted the entire AC system. I also pulled every interior panel chasing phantom wires and ended up with this:
Needless to say i shaved some weight. I also found $8 in various change under the carpet and about a pound of broken glass from when the stereo was stolen off the car lot.

Heres a few shots of how the little brick sits now.

Dirty-

Gauge setup, the DM-100 up to i HIGHLY recommend. It does analog style, standard gauge style, 4 parameter, and huge number readout as shown. It also can be linked to 4 sensor modules and will also display scatter plot and line graphs cross referencing all 4 sensors. slick setup.

On to the daily. Last time i posted i was young, dumb (that may not have changed) and had an S10 with an insane stereo. Turns out someone wanted that stereo more than I. They totaled the truck while stealing my head unit, also made off with all my gunsmithing tools and my comfy *** LRG hoodie.
I know its hard to believe it was totalled that way but here is the proof. They broke both door panels to try and get the speakers and kick pods, which they didnt get. Broke the center console, and did this to the dash...

Insurance offered me 4500 for the truck and bought back my system. The system sits in my closet. Not sure it will even be installed in anything i own currently. Pics:

With the money i picked up a Tahoe. Now shes been worked over a bit.
She is currently undergoing a built LQ4 swap, slight head work, stock truck intake manifold (i tow occasionally and the extra tq is nice) Ported 90mm throttle body, custom shorty headers to 3" collectors, into a 3" y, into a gutted cat followed by a magnaflow muffler with a turndown just before the axle, or i may do true duals with the turn down in the same location. Melling oil pump, custom CAI, unlocked ECU, hand built wiring harness, LS6 cam, springs and pushrods.... I know im forgetting alot. It all connects to a Built 4l65e.

For suspension its heimed and uniballed. 4 over arms, moly steering linkages, 3 inch lift spindles, Fox 2.0 coil overs ran through the frame, ARG super box 2 and super pump (to rid myself of that ridiculous speed sensitive steering) custom traction bars and leafs with blocks out back which I'm changing soon. Hannaman 3 up 4 out glass fenders, rolling on 35 12.5 17s. 4.56 rear gears.

I'm sure I'm forgetting tons of little stuff. After the 6.0 is in im changing up the rear suspension setup. Deavers and coil overs to match the front.

Pics!

Before switching to 17" rims for affordable tires:

With the 17s

Obligatory before swap on engine stand pic

The swap will be completed within the next 2.5 weeks. Itll be installed, massaged and dyno/seat tuned by Extreme performence and tuning in goodyear az. (shout out to those guys as they're awesome even if they do mostly ferds)

I've also since posted last, kicked my girl to the curb, lost 3 jobs, 2 homes and got in a nasty car accident which i cant get into detail about. But with bad comes good. I picked up myself a nice Daniel Defense M4 V7 lightweight to play with and became good friends with the owner of the shop. We're now in the process of building our own AK47 and AK variant manufacturer. Paramount Weapon Systems. This is the silver lining through all the BS. Not only will i be a business owner, i get to do something i absolutely love doing.
Im sure we wont just stick to Automat Kalishnikovs, im positive we will branch out into the AR15 scene and beyond. Im super stoked but its a slow process.
Ive designed some awesome stuff of which i cant speak of again due to patent proceedings and the like but if youre an AK fan youll love what ive got going on.

I hope the admins dont mind, If its a problem ill be more than happy to delete but check us out at GunForAll Opening Page (www.facebook.com/gunforall) and Coming Soon - Future home of Paramount Weapon Systems (facebook.com/paramountweaponsystems)

Thanks for checking out my pain in the *** trucks and websites. Im happy to be part of this community (my dealings with the guys on facebook and how cynical they can be, ill fit right in like a fat indian chick at an ICP concert)

Thanks for having me fellas.
