New to the Forum From Southern Illinois
#1
Hello all, my name is Greg. I am from Southern Illinois as the title states. I am new to the forum and finally returning to being a gm owner. Boy have i missed my trucks. I am in the process of purchasing a 1988 Chevrolet c1500 standard cab swb truck for a nice price. ( Sorry no pictures at the moment. Will get them when I finalize the deal this week some time. It will be my new baby. When I was 17 I had an s10 with a 350ci from a 70's camaro and a 96 z28 rearend. Young and dumb I sold it. Now having owned a couple of cars. I have decided to rejoin the ranks and get something that I could drive everyday and work on. This 88 c1500 has a 77 350 from a blazer. With a eldelbrock carb and a 400 crank. ( don't know much about the motor. I just know it was rebuilt recently and the cylinders only needed cleaned up and it runs and start great. Its been lowerd and has a th350 trans. This is my new baby so it will not stay as is for very long. Thanks for enduring my some what lackluster story giddiness. Also jsut have one question. What weight oil should i use since it has a 400 crank installed and its a 77. (it is not cammed or bored out)
