Hey ya'll! I joined up to get some information and opinions on a gmt900, generation IV 5.3, single turbo build im getting started on! I look forward to any comments and suggestions anyone has, as this is going to be my first turbo build..... which I am super excited about! especially from all the big HP numbers I have read about these motors putting down. This build is my DD with a 2/4 drop, 5% tint, and ppv black steel 17" rims.

Here's a pic of the truck, well Tahoe, as it sits right now. I have been talking with Mario at Spike Performance Tuning for a week now and finally got all the stuff for my turbo kit I wanted worked out and on the way today, so it should be here next week sometime. I see you're in El Paso too! I need a good transmission guy if you know of one out here, and maybe someone who can tune?

I'm also from El Paso I got my intake ..long tube headers..and gears from spike ..and of course the custom wide band tune..huge difference day and night ..I strongly recommend spike performance for your mods great customer service and great guys to deal with..going back soon to get turbos on both of my trucks

 

I'm for sure going to start a build thread! And yeah! those guys down at spike have been super helpful, especially Mario! He's even helping me with the tune until I can get down there at the end of march for a proper tune and some more upgrades..... cam, valve springs, rods, and AFM/DOD delete kit! should have the tranny done by then too, so I can run some decent boost! I'm shooting for a conservative 550whp...
