Default New cam swap... truck fans keep kicking on and off alot more

Hey guys brand new to the group. A spectacular from the outside. Finally decided to join the awesomeness. So here goes nothing, after i changed out 216/220 low lift cam, to new 216/220 high lift cam. The trucks fans kick on and off alot more. Makes the idle jump up and down. Kind of annoying if you ask me. Its a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab. Any advice to help chill the fans out. My tuning guy says he cant get the hp tuner to talk with the A/C to change the settings. Any advice to help me out would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well if tuner cant do anything, I found that doing the big three upgrade helps with charging, whenever the fans kick on it wont put so much strain on the electrical system with the big 3 and can handle that surge better

I need to get HPT just so I can work on this myself, as I have a few other things with fan control I want to mess with.

My tuner and I have gone back and forth a lot about the shut down temps, vehicle speed for shut down, start up temp, A/C control, etc.

What I had him do to help with my fan turn on was to raise the temp 3 degrees F. So now instead of coming on at 196, they come on low at 199 and high at 210 I think. It probably cut the fan cycling down by 50% or better. but they still seem to run too often

Put a 180* t-stat in it. Problem solved.

Sorry I didnt mean to confuse you, big 3 upgrade is running thicker wire from alternator positive to battery positive, battery ground to engine ground and battery ground to frame ground. Helps you with that dip you see when they kick on
