Default New, but old...

Hello all, I have been in the scene for about 10 years now, but am sort of new the "Truck Performance World"! I have been a F-Body guy forever and with the exception of a short stint with a 2000 Lightning I have only used trucks as tow vehicles. My current toy is a Black, 5SPD, 4.8LTR 2005 RCSB Silverado.

Performance includes:
Venom 100 Shot
Lingenfeller GT2/3 Cam
Comp Cam Hardened Push Rods
Comp 918 Springs
Little Head Work
JBA Shorties
High Flow Cats
3" Cat Back
TRU-Flow Intake
4.10 Gears
SSBC Instant Stop Brake Kit
LS1 Edit (Soon to be changed)
Hi Energy Tranny Mount
Weight Reduction (@130lbs)
(Best time was at last year at Richmond International Dragway - 12.98 @ 107 with a 1.85 60ft on stock rubber, damn near rippin the shifter out the floor) (I know she's a turd)

Looks
3/4 Belltech Drop
20" Foose Sportsers (w Goodyear GTII Shoes)
Red Racing Striped
God Fathers Customs Roll Pan
Stylin Concepts Front Fascia (W/Fog Lights)
Shaved all factory Moldings and Designators
Color matched door handles and bumpers

Sounds:
Factory Head Units with 2 10" Subs and AMP

Coming soon:
6.0 Conversion
Blower (undecided)
Direct Port
Jerico 4 Spd (custom adapters bellhousing and titanium input and output shafts)
4 Link
Fuel Cell
Fats and Skinnies

My daily driver is 1994 Suburban I use to tow the truck back and forth to the track and shows! The burban is completely stock, but I am about to sling some money her way to make it a little more enjoyable to drive. With 205k on the clock I think she deserves some TLC.

Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Yeah, I am certainly no stranger to the GENIII V8, but I am getting a little tired of trying to make this poo poo 4.8 run with the big dogs. Its just amazing how a little stroke makes all the difference. I know guys with my mods on a 5.3 running low 12's and 6.0 running 11's on street tires. I guess live and learn! Thats what I get for wanting the 5 spd!

I see your in Lincoln... I am in Bellevue just outside Offutt, maybe sometime this summer after I get the new set up in I will bump into ya!

The 5 speed is holding you up you could drop 3 tenths atleast with an auto or a t-56 and short throw shifter. To put it as mjhoward calls it the stock 5speed is a :dump truck transmission"

1Slo01Z71, sorry I didn't see your post until today, but I certainly agree with you about the auto. I have run the auto w/ big stall setup before and it offers consistency and speed, but I rather enjoy rowing the old manual box! Now, not too far future I am going to fab up one of these Jerico "Clutchless" 4 Speed Manual and I will have the best of both worlds. My dad has one in his 64 Mustang and it is a riot.

So how many people on this board live in or around Omaha NE? This will be my first full summer here and I am hoping to get out and hook up with some fellow truck/car folks! I am from the coast were there is always something going on, but so far I haven't seen too much of anything. I know Parish and his crew run around over in Lincoln, but that is an hour ride for me from Bellevue!
