Hey everyone! My name is Tom Connelly and I'm from Alaska. I just joined this awesome sight and had a couple questions! I currently own a stock 2000 5.3 single cab silverado. In high school I took an autobody class which I shaved the tailgate, added a rollpan and gave her a custom paint job. I recently purchased an L33 to swap in it. I just wanted to know if it will be a plug and play or if the swap will require some custom fab work. I also will be adding the 4L80E transmission, and the 6/4'' lowering kit I purchased for it 2 years ago. Now being in alaska we do not have the best roads and my project could go multiple ways. I recently got into supertrucks and prerunners Because I have a friend who has a prerunner which we take out everyweekend to push its limits. I thought of selling the 6/4 lowering kit and going half street and half supertruck status. By that I mean lower my truck, add a four link so I can have coils in the rear and front, and add aftermarket control arms. Im also going to want to add rear and front differential lockers seeing that I live in Alaska and 4WD is a MUST. I wanted to know your guys thoughts and concerns! I hope to talk to as much of you as I can and check out everyone else's projects!
