if you leave it open header yea you can feel a low end lose but my long tubes were noticeable alround the rpm range really good from 55-6500 when i put mine in..longtubes, 224 cam, tb stall, tune, 4.10 gears should do you in pretty good..once thats feels useless slap a 150 shot on it..

Welcome!!

You can get plenty of power from a 5.3 but obviously a 6.0 will net more. But bolt-ons and a cam will probably get you what you're looking for. And headers are a worthwhile mod, with a full exhaust your bottom won't suffer. And a TT2600 will make up for anything and still be great for frequent towing.

my goal is to still be able to pass emissions, pull my car to the racetrack, out run toyotas, nissans, dodge cummins with modds, etc hope you get the idea and at the same time i dont want a real choppy cam.
i have already run a buddy cc 4x4 dodge cummins and he has program, exhaust etc sum beach ran off and left me once i got into my powerband he couldnt shake me but hell he was 3-4 trucks ahead of me
