Default Florida cruiser

New to the truck forum, need to log in to get advice and creep a few threads. I picked up a 2000 silverado long bed last year. I originally purchased it for the motor but decided to keep it. It came with a 5/7 drop in it so I found some stock 20's, required a little paint to hide the flaking chrome. Has 4:10 gears and an eaton limited slip, I rebuilt the tranny.

I am about to step up to a 6.0 with a 4l80e with the 9.5 14 bolt. Need some stuff.

Welcome.

I'd keep the 10 bolt to keep weight down. You won't push enough power with that 6.0 to be needing a 14 bolt.

If the 10 bolt was good I would, it needs new gears and bearings. I have an intact donor truck it's coming out of.

Welcome US Marshall. Nice long bed. I had a 99 like that.

I sold it and picked up the 02 extra cab. It's now supercharged, narrowed rear end Eaton posi, 373 gears, Moser axles and the list goes on.

Teeny05 what part of Central Florida? I live in Port St. John when I'm in town. I work in the north Seattle area most of the year. This "temporary" assignment was supposed to be a few months. That was 6 years ago. LOL...
