Hey guys just got my first truck! Going to be my winter ride while my motorcycle is sleeping in the garage! Also plan on towing a pop up camper and some dirtbikes this next summer!

-steering pump has a slow leak and acouple other things such as small rattle on acceleration also has 2in body lift
Check your base timing with the engine warmed up, and tan/black wire disconnected (on a '94 you'll usually find this taped into the harness bundle near the passenger side kick panel) - you want 0°; some will say go 2 to 4 but that'll give you just enough ping that you may not notice, but the PCM will and will pull back timing on you. Snug it down, re-check, plug the wire back in.
If it still pings, your EGR valve may be bad. Stuck open or opening too easily due to broken spring inside. If you have a handheld vacuum pump you can test it to see if it will hold vacuum (engine off), if it doesn't, replace. If it passes that test it could still be opening too easily, you can make a blockoff plate to test this but don't leave it like that. If you end up replacing the valve go ACDelco or Delphi only, absolutely avoid any other brand with the one-size-fits-many valves - they rarely work right on TBI engines.
