Well I've been running searches for all kinds of performance info for my 05 Sierra and always seem to end up finding the info I need on this site. I just hope I may be able to contribute info to the site like others have done for me.
Thanks Everyone,
Vern

Welcome. What are the specs on what you've got?

I'm also from Orange County.

Welcome man! Like Slow mentioned, lots of smart people on here, I just wish I was one of them, but then again if I was one of them people would be coming to me instead of the other way around. Who wants that!!
Post some pics of your truck!

GMC is bone stock right now but I'm going to put on a cat back exhaust, aftermarket air cleaner and ECU reprogram to get a few more hp out of it.

I am currently building up an LM7 for my 75 FJ40 Land Cruiser. I have it down to the bare block and I am thinking of buying an LM4 block, bore it out and build it up as a LS1. Can anyone tell me if this is worth doing or should I just buck up and just find a good used LS1? I also have a 4L80E trans that is currently being rebuilt to mate to an Atlas transfer case.

Not sure if there is any FJ40 fans out there but I have attached a photo of my red FJ40 on my property out in the high desert (This is the one that's getting the GM drivetrain) I have also attached a few photos of a my tan 78 FJ40 that was a rusted wreck when I got and after 2 years of work and my kids inheritance a few photos of the finished restoration.

Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
