Desperate to get out of a Ranger
#1
After two years of ownership and 23 months of figuring out a way to get rid of the damn thing, I'm about to say goodbye. I've been a "car" guy all my life and value things like ride quality, agility, and refinement. The ford ain't cutting it. I am now in construction and need to find a compromise. I've heard the ranger described as "third world" and I'd say that's pretty accurate.
It's really a small world, because I used to lurk occasionally on ls1tech.com for my GTO and now I'm a registered member of the family. I had no idea that the 03-06 silverado's i've had my eye on recently share the same architecture.
My goal is to get a RCLB, put a 3/5 or 4/6 drop on it, a set of sways, nice shocks, a tune and possibly headers and call it a day. I'm not one to regularly achieve my goals, though, and figure the mod bug will infect me shortly.
talk to ya'll soon!

Haha... nice. Sounds like a good plan that you have. Could make the Ranger a pre-runner, but I'd stick with your idea. Schino has a really nice long bed that's been lowered. Here's a link to the thread... https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=437025
By the way, welcome aboard to the PT.net side of the house.
