Default '78 C10 w/ a LQ4/4l80E swap

I don't know if I'm technically new here because I just found this off of LS1tech where I go somewhat frequently. HOWEVER, I need help solving a debate between me and my dad. He says that we will need to get a new gas tank and a new radiator in order to make this swap work. (By the way, the motor and tranny are from 2001.) He says that they have to be pressurized in order to work. I think he's wrong. Does anyone have proof one way or the other? Pictures would score you extra points. I would assume that the stock units will work, but I could be wrong. Help will be much appreciated!!

No idea, but welcome over from LS1tech.

I'm sure some one will chime in shortly.
