yes you will know, I got it when I had the irridium plugs on the 4.8 with the 100 shot and it would detonate like there were marbles bouncing around inside my engine, kinda like pinging but louder. I ran 93 and switched to ngk tr6 plugs and it ran fine.

How bad is it for your motor? AZ gas is horrible and when its hot I get it at WOT. Definately can't miss it. Need to get retuned so I can stop babying it

 

with fi very bad , n/a not as bad but it kills performance. knock retard will occur, what that is , is th emotor sensing the knock therfor retarding the timing, So you lose power. with hptuners you can set it up so the kr will take away less timing than it normally does and set it up to take away less. but as far as kr goes , its bad mmkkkkk.
