Makes a lot of sense.....the stronger 5.3's got the weak aluminum driveshaft whereas the 4.3 and 4.8 got the stronger 2 piece steel driveshaft.

Thanks for converting these, was cool to see the process. (Funny how much Gen-III "starters" look like air conditioning compressors!)
