How true!!!
I don't know but personally I don't think the Koenigsegg will topple the Veyron except maybe for top speed. With the Veyron's all wheel drive I can't imagine the Koenigsegg even hooking up properly until like 100mph+ or more. It was already having problems with the previous 806hp version. But it should be a fun race to see. I guess the sweeds weren't happy with losing the top speed record for a street car to the veyron!!

The only change on the motor between the ccx and the ccxr is that they tuned it to run off of e85, the ccx's cost 601,000 vs the 1mil veyron, they are also offering to ccx owners they can bring it in and they will upgrade the fuel system to run off of e85.

The ccx hooks up good under 100mph, I mean it did take the record lap on the top gear track...I think the ccxr or ccx with the upgraded e85 fuel system will take the veyron nuts from it in the top speed. It is like 2500 curb weight vs ~4000lbs curb weight of the veyron.

Yup I agree, top speed I think the veyron will fall to the CCXR, but from 0-60 and 0-100 I don't think the CCXR can find enough traction to be able to give the veyron a run for it's money.

lol "run for it's money is ironic", it is 1mil dollars vs ~600k ccx ....but yeah, it should if it don't break, but I read somewhere it only mustered a 10.8@138 and the 806hp ccx is 9.9@146 but thats just bench racing, they need to do an old fashioned, no bs, dual out between those cars to find out the best. CCXR FTW!!!

Bench racing makes sense! Those are some super sick numbers for the CCX too, if it could hook that would be impressive. I'm sure you've seen that episode on top gear when the Stig swallowed the tire wall, too bad they couldn't make that thing AWD, add a little weight but not as much as the Veyron. How sick would it be if they made the Veyron run on E85??!!
