Yea Chevy had 3:42's.

I wish they would have put it up against Chevy 6.2 also

But I can say that the Ecoboost are very stout as I've driven a few! Also my buddy Mike has one with CAI and 5 star tune and it's a beast! Crew cab 2wd running 13.6's

 

I have test drove a couple also. They are very impressive for a stock truck.

 

I really don't see to many people driving there trucks through a ditch with that kinda angles most would go around, I've drove lots of new fords spraying bedliners and they are very cheap metal wise, I would like to see gm do a gas v8 turbo from factory

They were trying to show chassis stiffness not really show what would happen if someone would drive their truck into a ditch necessarily, but doing that sure proved their point I think!!

 

Like others have said it isn't that everyone who owns a truck is going to drive trough a 12" deep ditch. It is showing strength built into the frame. There are plenty of guys across the country who may encounter something similar in the real world.

For a tow rig I highly doubt anyone will be coming out with a turbo V8 truck any time soon. The point of the Eco boost is fuel economy and still making hp and torque to stand up to the traditional trucks.

 

hell i would love is gm would come out with a 1500 silverado 4.3l turbo either 4l60 or 4l80 trans
