Little video of my 5.3 with a tr224 cam. I think the tune is off, seems to run rich. Also it idles around 900 RPM, should I lower the idle any? Plan on getting a dyno tune after I get a new transmission.

 

sounds really good. you could probably lower idle a little, i wouldn't go under 750rpm tho. mines at 850 right now, any lower and it surges when slowing.

 

yeah id say idle down fo sho. mine is idle at 700 and doesnt surge but a slightly smaller cam and is 112

What kind of muffler is that? Looks like a diesel muffler, like the 4" MBRP. Sounds perfect; quiet and bassy through the muffler and aggressive with the cut-out open. That's what I'm looking to do. I don't want a loud muffler that only gets a little louder with the cut-out open. I want it mellow until I decide to open it up.

It's a corsa sport. It's plenty loud when you get on it, not bad with regular driving though.
