I think it is stupid for RICH parents to go buy their kids nice vehicles. 9 times out of 10 they have no resepect and destroy them. I saw a 16 year old kid last week driving a brand new denali with drive out tags on it. It had 26 inch wheels on it, with tags still on the tires, and a loud thumpin radio in it. Kid had no respect for it either, had friends hangin out the windows.
If I had gotten that when I turned 16, I would have been tickled. Granted, it would have been spray bombed by the next day, but I would have gladly driven it.
Who's to say they wouldn't make him drive something like that for awhile and if he respected it, they get him something nicer later. That is pretty much what my parents did. I got a little hand me down station wagon. 6 months later I came home to find a nice little s-10 parked in the drive way. I gladly learned how to drive a stick.
