No rims for my slicks yet, but the track will be closed for the next 6 months, so I did a few practice runs on street tires. Maybe I should have just entered a burnout contest because I couldn't get any traction at all. First run they at least let me start in the groove, but I still spun like hell and chickened out before the finish line because I had no idea how the truck was going to behave at +100 mph and didn't know how long the shutdown area was.

 

Definitely need some traction bad. What was your best mph?

 

114.79 was all I could get to with all that spinning.

Exactly- don't want to slam the weak stock front end with that much torque. And the truck was all over the place the few times I tried it.
