It's not a huge cam... and the other guy in your story had a 6.0 that ran 12s. I HIGHLY doubt he lost to a stock 5.3

Lol that guys truck is a slow piece of junk then if he got beat by your friends 5.3.

No offense to low n slow, but that guys truck SHOULD have ate him up.
