I have no idea if this was posted before or not. I figured you guys might be interested.
2004 Silverado SS:
Patriot S2 heads
Custom cam (spec'ed by me) approx:232/239 .605 114
NX Wet Nitrous@200(fabricated by me)
A too tight TCI converter:approx 3200/2.1str,
Long tube headers (too small at 1 5/8),
Tuning by me
Fabricated (by me) Dual 3in exhaust w/QTP electric cut-outs
Riding on 22in Wheels with real street tires(no DR) @ approx 5,500lbs
VS
A 2004 GTO.
The guys we were racing claimed stock except for a DR.
I know what was done to the car but because it's streetraced I won't give out that info. Suffice to say it's NOT stock at all.
The truck is the loud one and the one coming across the line first. You can tell from the comments that the GTO guys thought they were going to smoke the Truck.
This truck wound up going MUCH quicker than it was here by changing out the mismatched parts.
The reason the parts don't jive is that it originally was supposed to be a fun truck for my friend who was the owner. Well, he caught the "bug" and we started switching things over in order to make it quicker.
These trucks have ENORMOUS potential. Running low 12's was like falling off a log. Getting into the mid/low 11's was a bit more difficult and expensive.
Even considering the cost and all the time I had into this truck it was easily the funnest vehicle I have ever driven. I was the driver in this race and I was laughing the whole way
I had a daily driver 1998 Trans Am around the time this was shot that ran low 11's/high 10's and the truck would kill it on the street and was more fun to drive most of the time.

Absolutely! 1.6 60' no problem on 22s. People were very surprised to say the least. Listen to the guy video taping say "The GTO is ....Oh ****" He was figuring the Goat was gonna be out front.
Makes me want to get a truck.
