try leaving the tailgate up, and youll cut almost 1/10th. smokedoge and i proved this together one night. theres also been other more scientific studies done that show better milage and 1/4 times with the tailgate up...give it a try

They proved it on "Myth Busters" too . With the tailgate up it created some kind of small "wind vortex" in the bed that caused air going over the roof of the truck to streamline over the bed entirely. With the tailgate down the wind would shoot down the back of the roof and into the bed of the truck creating "serious drag" in their own words.
