pics of my holden

Well guys, its not new by any means, or even attractive, but i love it enough to show it off. Its a 1990 holden jackaroo, and I bought it last a month and a half ago for 1,100 bucks. Its a 4cyl with 4:56 gears and a eaton locker, and a big front bumper to protect the front from the kangaroos. I just figured i would share a few cool pics of where my holden has taken me. Enjoy, and let me know what you think.

the trails here sometimes just turn into spots like this for a while, so I have to walk to trail to make sure theres no water holes.

Even though its shallow, I did get stuck here. It was completly bottomed out in the center. 3 hours of digging on my hands and knees before a dude showed up in a diesel holden colorado and pulled me out.

I came to vacation, but work of course. i came with just 3 thousand dollars, so once i got here I began looking for work. in citys you can find work fairly easly, but it your out in the middle of nowhere, then good luck with getting jobs. I have whats called a work/holiday visa, so i can only stay a year, which is plenty enough for me. Everyone here is so nice, its unusuail. So far since ive been here (4 months) ive been living with 3 diffrent people, just because they talked to me for like ten min, and said " hey come with me and stay for free at my house" aussies are the nicest people i have ever met. that being said. its crazy expensive here. everything is double price, like "ten, ten, ten dollar footlongs" haha and booze is tripple as much, except for wine. If you want to come here, look into getting a work/ holiday visa. cheers

yeh me too! When we were on our West Pac cruise in the Navy the Captain kept talking about swinging into Australia and then he didn't at the last second...I was so bummed. If the only stop on our tour was there I think I would have been happy.

ha, yes their bad. Well wallabies are worse, but their pretty much the same thing. There is dead ones everywhere on the roads. Its completely common to see big bumpers on small cars, and ute's. Not to mention 50 percent of the trucks have snorkels.
