I raced one of dirt_track_racer_81's friend with an ECSB 4.8. We have pretty much the same mods except for:
1.) He has a cam and I do not.
2.) I have headers and y-pipe and he has manifolds with true duals with x-pipe.
3.) He has a speed density tune and I have a W4M tune.

We both have 3.42's with 20's. Hopefully I'll get to race him tomorrow when I put my 4.10's in to see what the difference is.

yep his truck is very slow..he needs a 3000+ stall badly and 4.10 gears...were pullin the nitrous kit of of my truck and puttin it in his since im done for..

 

What cam is that 4.8 running? I take it he is running it with the stock converter.

 

the cam is the comp 212 218 .522 .529 114 lsa on a stock torque converter and 3.42's

The 4.8 does not seem to do too bad from a roll but it definetly needs the stall and/or gears for the dig. Good runs.

Would like to see a video of how the 4.10's act for comparison.

They are working out pretty well! I take it that you got the nitrous all hooked up on his truck...

he didnt want his motor looking like mine so he went to a 100 shot..
