A turbo will only loose efficiency depending on how much boost you ask it to produce, not how high you spin your engine. If you have your controller set in it's efficiency range (for example and turbo dependent) 12 psi it will give you an efficient 12psi to whatever speed you want to spin your engine to...6K, 7K, 8K, 10K. Engine speed is irrelevant, once the turbine wheel see's enough exhaust flow to spin the compressor to the required speed to attain the desired 12 psi, the remainder of the the exhaust will bypass the turbo and go out the wastegate. If you produce full boost at 2500rpm and you spin your engine to 6500rpm, the last 4000rpm does not effect the turbo's efficiency one bit as all that additional exhaust is going out the wastegate while the turbo is spinning at it's pre-set range.
And it's doubtful 3 psi spins the compressor wheel fast enough for it to make an audible sound over an open exhaust.

oh yea i wanted to try and find compressor maps but no luck for a mp70 mm......i dont think im even in the effiency range of the turbo and i know the 50mm bov is wide open on only 3.5 psi of boost! The truck actually runs the same on 3.5psi as it did all motor due to pulling timming and adding fuel! Might be a little better up top but not much
Why is that? I have even started making boost yet? I have a 3.5 psi spring that means the turbo is making no power its all going out the wastegate before it gets to the turbo! Im gonna turn it up to seven and that will keep the wastegate shut a little to hopefully see some stability in boost and then we will see what weak parts are in my set up.....

i was riding with daryn in those vids. me and daryn talked about it right after. i think had chris been on 7 lbs, we would have gotten our *** handed to us. that little truck runs hard! (the turbo one) i cant wait to see it again at full potential

haha thanks guys for clearing that up! yes spoolin i ment wastegate! it was early haha! I hope to see 7 this weekend and do some touching up on the tune soon! I am satisfied but like stated before its not much faster on this 3.5 psi than it was all motor hopefully 7 will give me a chubby haha!

haha yea yea ill get beat again by daryn but i just wanna hear that truck again! and jones you can get your shot anytime you want........oh and nonnie i tried to get ya to come but i didin't get to talk to ya much! Hopefullly next time it will be even better!
