Id like some info on the head setups yall guys use. I see this particular engine used 243s. Why not use l92s? More info on the 243s on these trucks please

243s in the right hands will perform just as good as l92s, as long as you have the right valvetrain on them, though l92s shine over the 243s cause of flow numbers, its not always the case, theres sometimes when you dont need all that flow to make a head perform.

i knew those pistons had to be flycut, i almost went that way but i wanted to keep the shortblock orginal, meaning not tampered with. just full bolt ons. but no doubt thats a mean setup ill be the first to congradulate you early, it might not be this summer but youll hit some good numbers come this fall!!

how much weight have you removed from the truck?

if and when you hit rpr feel free to give me a shout id love to see this truck run!

by the way, you running the vic jr? reason i ask im thinking of swapping from the FAST! turn the rpms up alittle!

edit: just realized you are using the truck intake, nnbs, have you put this truck on the dyno?

Let me start off by saying that I'm tempted to buy one of those cams you guys run. I've been impressed with them.

Regardless, nitrous pull. Lock up and jump--no way it's N/A. I'm not swayed by internet logic.

negative sir. i already stated there's not even a nitrous kit on the truck. i guss you all havent use a 4,500 or a 4,800 edge converter.

pistons of this truck are not flycut. like i said, its a simple setup that worked bad without spending lots of money. We tune in the street.

La grasshopper is the one i was talking about in hpt. we went crazy with this setup and it should be out soon. we're using a BIG lift and a 5,000 edge converter. we will try to get to the 11.3 with this one. Im not saying we are going to get to this number but gonna try and at the same time have some fun with it.

we don't use those intakes with N/A setups. FAST or nnbs.

Easy enough, go get another vid of this truck under the same condition. Nobody is doubting the truck doesn't run. Just the fact that the verter locks, then flutters, then takes off, the engine doesn't sound the same. Converters help, but no converter adds HP
