So with your experience with cams, would you say that smaller cams and "streetability" is a myth? Did you lose low end? What cam do you recommend in a 6.0?

Its all in the tune.

For a 6.0 anything over a 224 would be good.

I would have to agree with Scott, streetability/driveability is mainly in the tune, however verter selection contributes to the WOW factor... Having the right amount of timing, VE and MAF table tuned, appropriate shift points, etc, etc... I spent months getting my tune decent, granted I am not the best tuner on the board, still just learning like everyone else... I am sure a pro tuner could have done it in a few hours... But it took alot of driving and working on the spark table to keep the timing consistant, the major drop off of timing at part throttle up the RPM band or Load is what causes most of the problems IMO... Keeping those values gradually decreasing as Grams/cyl go up is key, IMO... Drastic dropps causes the Bog/lack of lowend, some people experience.... IMO the way each truck moves up and down on the Spark Table is unique to each vehicle, thus the need for lots of logging....
