Pump up the boost on that thing for god's sake, lol. with proper tuning you could EASILY run 10+lbs boost. I ran 15lbs for a year with no problems. I didn't run into a problem until i had a voltage issue and my MAF went all whacky on me. I tried switching to 2bar speed density and my VE table was all f'd up but i dragged it anyway. Bad idea. lol

You should have no problem getting a low 13 slip. I ran 13.06 @ 102 with a 1.9 60' and i coasted throuugh the finish line cause i spun the crank at the 1000' mark. OOPS, lol.
I am basing that weight off what other 8.1Ls i have heard of weigh in at. I also have the spare in place, the tailgate on, the back seat in, full length steel step bars, etc. I am seeing about 7-7.5 psi when i punch it, then by 3rd gear Im around 6.5-7psi according the the gauge. My problem is if I add any more boost i am going to have to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors as im at 107% IDC now. Im not quite ready to make the upgrade just yet because i dont like the fact that i have heard horror stories about trying to tune the 60lb injectors AND the fact that there is not a "drop-in" hi flow pump for our trucks yet (suppose i could go with the inline pump though). I dont want to hack up the fuel basket to make it work, someone has got to be working on a drop-in i would imagine.

I have the marine 44lb'ers, they are maxed at 107%. I need 60's or more to get back in the target zone.
