I think they are I've contemplated buying a set before.
Here's a set http://www.sportaid.com/xcart/colour...-controls.html
I wonder. Did he patent his design? He could be missing out on royalties.

In the mid 80s my neighbour was flying a crop duster and tried to go under a power line. He ripped the tail off, lost his elevation control, and the plane nosed up HARD. When he lost forward momentum, the plane dropped like a stone, and he broke his back. He lost the use of his legs. A few years later he wanted to test drive a car, but he couldn't cause they weren't about to cut up the interior for hand controls on a car that wasn't sold yet. He thought that was bullcrap, so he designed a set of hand controls that just strap in to a vehicle without cutting up the interior. He started a company called Contact Technologies, which was kind of a joke since his name was Craig Lenz. My dad invested a lot of capitol, and worked for the business without a paycheck for nearly 2 years, but even a great idea doesn't sell itself. Everyone was a bit too young, and they tried to run before they could walk, and the business went under. But I think the design is still being manufactured. I'll see if I can find some info on it.

Mines rigid because the folding ones are weaker. I almost bought a 96 vette back when I was shopping for a vehicle but couldn't figure a way to get my chair in without tearing up the car.
Must have made some modifications behind the seat.

Nice setup Joshua. I've had hand controls ever since I got my license. My handle sticks straight out instead of upward. It's not as difficult as it looks to drive. Like you I was out driving the same day. In fact I drove home. I haven't had any problems running at the track. (HRP) Burnouts are easy too.
Best of luck. BTW, your truck sounds mean!

Do you have the ones that comes straight out toward the door and you have to push the entire bar down? Or is it more like mine but without the final bend making it go up?
Rental cars have ones that comes straight out toward the door and you push the handle down, but I HATE those cuz it always hits my knees. I drove from San Diego to Oklahoma with one and my knees were pretty scrapped up by the time I got home.

Mine is similar to yours except the final upward bend. I know what you mean by having scrapped up knees. I have a little more room in my Tundra than I did in my Silverado.
I'll post a pic when I get back in town Monday.

Yea. that's what kind is in rentals and i HATE it because you push that entire bar down into your legs.
They were also a little stiffer than mine. The only restriction in mine is whatever pressure the gas pedal pushes against it.
Those do install a bit cleaner tho. I installed mine cuz i didn't wana pay $400 for someone else to do it. Took them out of my escape and put them in the silverado.
You just need controls or you in a chair too? Toss it in the back seat or use a wench and put it in the bed?

I'm not that tall (5' 6") so the bar didn't hit my knee too much in the Silverado. I'd just slide my left knee over when I wanted to punch the gas. It isn't an issue in my Tundra since I have several more inches if room.
Nice job on installing them yourself. I didn't feel much restriction at all in mine although it is a little stiffer in the Tundra.
I just needed controls. My mobility is limited and use crutches.

oh. See, I'm like 5"10/5"11 and wear a 34 length jeans. The car i drove that had those controls was a mustang... That's why it was such a pita. Never have a problem with these ones in my Blazer, Silverado. Or previously Camaro and Escape.
However tylers big *** did have problems driving the camaro and blazer.
