I would also like to see a copy of your dyno graphs. I would go a little farther past your peak horsepower so you fall into a better power band. My bolt-on, no-cammed 5.3 spins up to around there on the 1-2 shift and when it falls back down it falls into a nice power band and just keeps going. You could get some lower ET's by finding that sweet spot to shift at...

i dont have a graph that is detailed enough... not worth posting

but what i meant was power peaks at about 5800-6000 rpms and than flat lines and slowly tappers off (spun it to 6700 on the dyno one time, by 6500 it was starting to slowly tapper off). Reason why i dont spin it so high (6700+) anymore is because I saw a difference of a tenth and 1/2 mph with it shifting at what i have it now. I'll play with it some and see, but i dont think i really have to spin it that high. In between gears it has a nice pickup, i need to check the logs and see at what rpm i am picking up at inbetween gears.

but i'll mess with it and report back next time i go to the track.

one question though why do you have a 3400 stall if you only spin you engine up to 2000rpms wouldn't a better choice be a 2500 stall? confused? explain this a little more to me in detail.

3400 is flash speed... i can break stall it to almost 3k... but i couldnt because of traction issues

i dont start making power/tq till around 3k rpms... this converter (launching at 3k or not) has a nice pickup inbetween gears, keeps me in the power range.

i'll get 12's... just need a stickier tire/better prepped track, another day like that, and have the tune spot on, i was pretty rich on those runs.
