When I ordered the melling high pressure pump it cam with a thinner black o ring and a thicker green one. According to the picture that melling sent me with the way my pick up tube is it called for the green thicker one.

Plus the oilpan has been off and it has been checked to make sure the ring wasn't kinked so it even has a brand new o ring in there. It looked like it was the right thickness when it was taken off.

If the cam plate was loose it could cause the oil pressure to do this also?

Yes, oil goes through the lifter galley to the cam plate, goes behind the tchain then goes back down the other side. If the little oring ln the backside of the cam retainer plate isn't sealing to the block you will be low on pressure.

That Melling green o-ring is fine. I actually measured one against a red GM o-ring and it was just about identical in size.

Did some research on Tech and im definitely gonna change the cam retainer plate. Its one of the only things i re-used so it would make sense lol. Hopefully it will run a little better too
