I read a thread a while back on someone trying to decide wether to keep the 6.0 and do some work or just go diesel for the towing.
I couldn't remember who posted it and don't have time to look for it. But when I was reading it all I could think of was this video.
If your going to do alot of towing but still wana whip your ars with sports cars then it's definately worth getten a diesel.

You can get a used diesel for not much more than a used gas. just clean it up a bit and get to work.
When i was in the market for a ride i found a '02 f250 7.4Turbo diesel for the same as what i paid for my '03 ecsb chevy 5.3L. The main reason i didn't get it was the price of fuel and the amount of driving I do.
I raced a late 90's model ecsb from a 50mph roll once with my blazer and a 16ft car trailer and he'd pull on me at a steady pace. throw that same trailer behind a diesel and you can't tell anythings back there.

a used diesel for around the same price as what you got your truck for would've prolly had around 150000-175000 miles

yep, just about everything about working on a diesel cost way more than a gas...a few years back i wanted a diesel because the fuel was dirt cheap...now it costs more than gas so i have no reason for one...chicks dig 'em though

If I had to haul over 5k lbs of crap every other day I'd get a diesel. Just makes more sense cuz they are made for towing.
But for a DD that is never loaded down and does alot of driving, the gassers are WAY more worth the money.
Gas or Diesel, I just love seeing a truck whoop up on cars.
