Default 408 fun (Video)

Was bored this afternoon. No L's around to pick on so I made this video for fun. Guess I need to make a camera mount because it's hard to hold it steady and drive.

damn that makes me want a 408 even more. and do you think your motor would work good with that cam minus the stall.

Have not dynoed it but based on 1/4 mile times it should be laying down close to 500rwhp. It's sweet to drive, very wide power band and not too bad on gas. Just need to try meth injection to see if I can get by on pump gas.
Whiteville is between Fayetteville and Wilmington on Hwy74.

Stall is borderline with duration, probably could stand a little more.

Its all about the tuning man. You would have to pull alot of timing for 93 octance vs 110 with the price of gas itd be worth it. Ive heard of guys runnin 93 with 13:1 comp. You could have two tunes one for racing and one for the street.

If you've still got the stock computer Ive got tuning software for it, Im in greensboro.

I'm using 100 octane (unleaded) with 28* timing @WOT and no KR. I tune with LS1edit and a FJO widebandO2. A few times I have added a little 93 and did not see KR. Motor is built with a tight quench area so I believe with meth injection I might get by without reducing timing.

28 at wot with 12.1 thats impressive!! You must have raised compression with different pistons vs milling heads/gaskets. I still think you could get away with 93 and around 24 at wot. Very nice truck if your ever in the triad area let me know we'll go bust some unsuspecting cars.

If you do the meth thing let me know I took .050 off my heads and it has caused problems with kr that shouldnt be there with only 10.5:1. Ive been thinking about some sort of injection to run higher timing safely on 93
