How is it dumb? You're restricting very hot coolant from entering the throttle body and heating up airflow. I think you might of misunderstood how this works..

BTW I have a Z250..how much faster is that Z400?

No comparison at all, but they're both Suzuki's and that is the only thing you'll see me buy! I'm selling my Z though so I can finish my truck sooner or so I can buy a GSX-R 600..
