I'm looking for the largest air-filter (K&N or comparable) element that will fit in my volant air box. The Volant filter I had has a 'mouth' diameter of 6" beacause of how it used to hook to the MAF.
I need a 4" mouth and I think up to 9" long iirc? The local speed shop found one I can order for $50 if all else fails. I have one of Rick's little 5" turbo filters on there at the moment.

I also have a Volant blue filter for trade (6" mouth) in near perfect condition.

Hey thanks! ...which flows better for a given length, cone or round? Is that a silly question? Which has more surface area a cone or a cylinder? Geez, I like geometry too

 

i had to custom order mine to , check k and n website they have custom filters you can go through and order accordingly.

 

a 4" mouth won't fit your size 12 foot.

 

Check K&N's website, find the size you need. I ordered the one I wanted through AutoZone, of all places. They can't really screw much up when you tell them the part number to order.

curious. Are you expecting to see a difference in IAT's or what exactly is it your shooting for?
Or do you just need a replacement.
