Default Syclone vs Ram SRT-10

Which one runs a quicker quarter stock? 0-60? Top speed?

Syclone according to factory specs is quicker 0-60 and 1/4mile (not by much on the quarter, they are practically even). Syclone is rated at 4.6s 0-60, low/mid 13's 1/4. SRT10 is somewhere around 5s 0-60 and like I said pretty much the same 1/4.

SRT10 is faster top speed at 150+mph with the Syclone limited to 128mph.

As long as your breaks can hold say 5-8psi for a good launch. A crappy launch (no boost) kills the Sy's performance. I have a STOCK Typhoon that does a 4.9 with my buddy's G-tech. Only thing is slightly smaller tires than stock.

4.9 is about right for a ty.
400 lbs heavier and probably needs a good tune up. They love maintenance. How many trucks out there have the capability to run 10's with the stock engine and sticky street tires.

Ya like the other guy said, SyTys love maintenance and tune-ups. I've got my Sy down from a 14.2 1/4 mile to 13.8 just by doing a bit of tuning and a tune-up, then went to a sea-level track and ran a 13.5. I think there's more in her though.

Agree. God, a good properly stalled converter and a good "chip" is good for about 1 second in the quarter with the appearance of stock. Cool trucks, way ahead of their time performance wise. Good job GM.

BTW, you can pick up 3 syclones in fair condition for about the MSRP price of an SRT-10.

Yeah, i know, they're surprisingly cheap. I expected them to cost a lot more because of their rarity and badass-ness (is that a word?). I'm kinda interested in them now, they seem real cool. Is the 128 limited by the governor or gear ratios or what?
